The second event hosted by St John’s leading up to Praxis New Voices Festival 2012 on 30 June!
An evening of film and music focusing on Chile whose diaspora had a strong influence in shaping Praxis’ early years.
The screening of ‘Three Short Films about Chile’ – Homage – Community – Protest, directed by Michael Chanan, is at the centre of the evening, followed by a panel discussion led by Praxis Chief Executive Vaughan Jones and including guest speakers Michael Chanan and Roberto & Pablo Navarrete from Alborada Films who ask the audience to reflect on Chile under Pinochet and as it is now.
Movimiento Cultural Amigo Artista – a band formed from a Praxis community group of Chilean refugees – invite you to dance into the night.
