JoWonder and the Psychic Tea Leaves, Thursday 7 June, 8pm

A special closing performance by JoWonder and the Psychic Tea Leaves to accompany Jo’s exhibition ‘6 Days Goodbye Poems of Ophelia’. The performance provides an audience interactive piece based in the belfry to add a new dimension to the Ophelia story, drawing from the dark side of classic fairy tales with a blend of music and improvisation.

This is also the last chance to see Jo’s animated bacterial paintings of Ophelia which were filmed in time lapse over six days. In Shakespeare’s play ‘Hamlet’ Ophelia drowns and is suspected of suicide. This Ophelia  finds her true self in a place between life and death receiving messages across time and space on an electronic answer phone.

(Bacterial research funded by The Wellcome Trust in collaboration with Dr Simon Park)

Doors and Bar 6.00pm

8.00pm – Ansuman Biswas & JoWonder will collude to sculpt your destiny in a 45 minutes performance unravelled via an array of haunted musical instruments. This is a tale of two children lost in a forest, an ill fated mother, an evil seductress and an enchanted eye ball.

9.00pm – ‘6 Days Goodbye Poems of Ophelia’ projection in the belfry
