Join us for an evening of films and discussion on the fight against racism and islamophobia in London as it was and as it is now.
7.30pm
We will start the evening with a panel discussion led by Rev. Alan Green, chair of Tower Hamlets Interfaith Forum. Young film makers from Interact, producer Glyn Robbins, director Phil Maxwell and Praxis CEO Vaughan Jones invite you to join the dialogue and take a stand against prejudice and intolerance.
8.00pm
‘Hide and Seek’, a short film created by Interact’s young film makers, 2013
In this thought-provoking documentary ten film makers dig deep under layers of modern prejudice to find out how social media has affected islamophopbia in the UK since the 7/7 bombings. Speaking to writers, professors and young experts in social media this documentary aims to uncover how the anonymity of the internet has influenced the apparent rising tolerance of prejudice.
8.30pm
