Screen-Printing for Textiles, Wednesdays 6.30 – 9.00pm

This art-form has been in continuous use as a technique since its development in China over 1000 yrs ago. In recent years Screen printing has undergone a massive revival by artists and designers, due to its amazing capacity to rapidly produce dynamic, graphic and striking images on fabric and paper.

In these workshop students will explore core techniques for printing on fabric including screen-print, mono-print and relief. Students can follow projects to create a range of experimental and finished pieces including art pieces, wall hangings, print for garments, interior furnishing and accessories. More experienced students will have the opportunity to experiment and expand their practice.
