Bitten By A Monkey with Max Eastley, Thursday 18 June, 7.30pm

Bitten By A Monkey’s guest for June’s gig at St John on Bethnal Green will be sound artist Max Eastley.

Max is a kinetic artist, musician and composer. His primary instrument is ‘the Arc’, a unique electro-acoustic monochord which began as an aeolian sculpture.
He has collaborated with many different artists and musicians, including David Toop, Brian Eno, Paul Burwell, Hugh Davies, Steve Beresford, Peter Greenaway and Evan Parker.

This is the latest in a series of gigs organised by London improvising trio Bitten by a Monkey, who will also be performing.
Steve Myers on great bass recorder,
Dylan Bates on violin, xaphoon, saw & bongos,
& Roland Bates on piano & melodica.

The church hosts a licensed bar.
