Fish Factory *London*, 7 November to 5 December

We are very excited to welcome the Fish Factory Art Space collective to London.

From 7th November to 5th December one of Britain’s most highly acclaimed, youngest, and most remote arts collectives comes to the capital to mount a unique exhibition celebrating and investigating the history and modern social fabric of London’s East End.

Fish Factory *London* will be a month of astonishing new popular and conceptual Art free to view and open to all featuring Clarissa Beothy, Nicholas Chaundy, Rose Hatcher, Alice Mahoney, Jimp, Kate Merry, Anthony Neale, Darren Ray & Kim Zip

Fish Factory Art Space presents work from a range of disciplines to interact with the history and architecture at St John’s. The visiting artists have created site specific work which explores the work of Sir John Soane, the spaces inside the church and the history and inhabitants of Bethnal Green. Curated by Fish Factory founder and curator Rose Hatcher this show will aim to explore and transform this historic and homely church with an outsider’s perspective and a flair for the extraordinary. The Fish Factory Art Space was founded in May 2011 and is situated in a former scallop processing warehouse on an old wharf in Falmouth, Cornwall. It is a poly-functional art space providing studio space, a place for exhibition and a nurturing, lively atmosphere for local contemporary artists to. We also aim to provide a forum for alternative styles of illustration and design as well as more conceptual fine art which we feel is under-represented in the Cornish art scene. Visitors to the Fish Factory London exhibition can expect to see an inventive array of styles and mediums as they wind through St John’s galleries and staircases.

The exhibition will be open on Thurs 7th November and Thurs 5th December 6-9.30pm and Saturdays and Sundays during the month from 9am-5pm.
