A group of Muslim men and women have joined the congregation of St John on Bethnal Green for Sunday Eucharist as a gesture of solidarity with their Christian neighbours, echoing how Muslims came together with Christians in France following the brutal murder of Father Jacques Hamel. The event was organised by integration campaign group, Faith Matters, and the Rector of St John’s, the Reverend Prebendary Alan Green, to confirm the importance of life within both faiths and to come together in the spirit of solidarity, empathy and care for the dignity and lives of each other.
