St Paul’s Cathedral Choir at St John’s, 24 May 3.15pm

The choir of St Paul’s Cathedral have embarked on an eight year tour singing Evensong at a parish church in each of the twenty four Deaneries that make up the Diocese of London. For Tower Hamlets they will be singing Evensong on Whitsunday, 24 May, 3.15pm The intention is to foster greater connections between St Paul’s and the Diocese of which it is the mother church. Members of the Deanery are encouraged to attend their special Evensong to share in the music of their Cathedral.   Pat Thomas (piano and electronics) will be presenting a solo performance on Thursday 14th May at St John on Bethnal Green.       Pat has been active in the field of improvised music since the late 1970s; at first he appeared in now-legendary ensembles Ghosts and Monads (the latter featuring Phil Minton and Marcio Mattos). This in turn led to an invitation to be part of Derek Bailey’s Company Weeks in the early 1990s.
