St John on Bethnal Green is very pleased to welcome Linda Toigo and her unique view on beauty and the world of glamour magazines to kick off our 2014 season of exhibitions in the Belfry. Armed with a non-sterile scalpel blade, she carves through the sterile glossy perfection represented in magazines to reveal the fast-paced ephemeral nature of beauty imagery. St. John on Bethnal Green and fabled London-based improvised music group Bitten by a Monkey (Dylan Bates, violin; Roland Bates, piano; Steve Myers, recorders) present the second in their monthly series of acoustic concerts, this month featuring renowned guitarist John Russell. John Russell got his first guitar in 1965 while living in Kent and began to play in and around London from 1971 onwards.
